Job Description

As a Freight Transport Operator, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the movement of goods via various transport modes, ensuring timely deliveries and compliance with all relevant regulations. You will be a key part of the logistics team, managing freight operations from start to finish and liaising with customers, drivers, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate the movement of freight using trucks, ships and other transport methods.
• Ensure all shipments are properly documented, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and other paperwork.
• Monitor transport schedules, ensuring on-time deliveries and resolving delays or issues as they arise.
• Communicate with clients, suppliers, and transport carriers to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure compliance with transport regulations, including safety standards and environmental guidelines.
• Prepare and manage shipment cost estimates, track expenses, and handle invoicing.
• Analyze transportation routes and suggest improvements for cost reduction and efficiency.
• Manage and track the movement of freight, ensuring accurate and timely data entry into systems.
• Resolve customer complaints or issues related to shipments and deliveries.
